Book club

Join Allegheny Mountain Institute for a winter of reading, conversation, and community! The AMI Winter Book Club will bring together readers interested in food systems, agriculture, sustainability, ecology, and our relationship with the natural world.

From exploring the cultural roots of modern agriculture to imagining resilient farms, reflecting on the places we call home, and considering the connections between people and the environment, each book offers an opportunity to learn, share perspectives, and deepen our understanding of the world around us.

We’ll meet virtually on the third Tuesday of each month, November through April, to discuss the selected book, exchange ideas, and connect with others who share an interest in building healthier, more sustainable communities.

Whether you’re a longtime reader, a farmer, a gardener, or simply curious about food, land, and community, we welcome you to join the conversation!
